Gemotions

The train rattled along the tracks, the rhythmic clatter a familiar soundtrack to the journey. Chloe gazed out the window, watching the landscape blur. She had just bought a dog-eared copy of “The Odyssey” from a vendor at the station. A warm feeling washed over her.

She opened the book, letting her mind be swept away by the epic tale. A small, carefully folded note fell out from within, landing in her lap. She picked it up, studying the faded ink. There was no rush to read it.
